Because forgiveness can be difficult for many, we provide you with the tools necessary to access it. We believe that forgiveness is a necessity for a successful and peaceful life. While we believe that the bible is the authority on life, and forgiveness is centered on Christ, we are here to help anyone, regardless of their beliefs. Your sessions are tailored to you and your needs. We look forward to being your support system as you walk this journey of forgiveness and move forward into freedom!
Our Therapist
Pierre Bashler Dorival, M.Ed,LCPC,NCC
I was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I moved to the United States in 1994 for my continued education and career opportunities. I graduated from Bowie State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in child & adolescent studies and a Master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in mental health. I learned early in life the importance of forgiveness and its impact on one’s life, which led me to create forgiveness therapy, LLC. I believe in the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness is one of the most profound aspects of life because it requires us to step out of our comfort zone to forgive others and ourselves. Forgiveness encompasses all things – it is about learning to let go of the hurt that can keep you from achieving your goals and desires. I can help guide you through resolving anger and restoring hope. My goal is to help you create a mental shift and advise you on a path to personal well-being. During this process, I will help you identify, process, and grow through your difficulties to begin to live a full and happy life regardless of your circumstances. I work with adults and children from all aspects of life experiencing trauma, anxiety, anger, and depression. I am passionate about helping others as it is my life’s purpose.
